JENNIFER HUTCHINSON, PsyD, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

My name is Jen and I first want to commend you for taking what is often a difficult step towards your healing journey. First, a little bit about my background and what I offer as a therapist. I began studying psychology in 2002 during my undergraduate years. I received my MA in psychology in 12/2014 and my PsyD doctorate in psychology in June 2021 from Antioch University in Seattle. I have worked as an inpatient and outpatient therapist since January 2012 across diverse settings. I am trained in a myriad of modalities and psychological interventions, but my foundational orientation is in existential psychotherapy, relational psychodynamics, and trauma informed care. I have a breadth and depth of training and experience working with clients with severe mental illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings, trauma survivors with specific focus on sexual abuse, and eating disorders. I also have extensive experience working with individuals who have day-to-day concerns and with those who would like to explore who they are by building a relationship with themselves.

My current clinical focus includes working with folks from the ages of 13+ years, with special attention to helping adults of all ages explore their life experiences. This can include self-searching, navigating personal identity, questions of personal meaning and purpose, coping with anxiety or depression, LGBTQ+ issues, and helping you to examine the fabric of your life. I look forward to working with you!
