EMILY EHRHHART, MA, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

For over ten years, I have practiced as a psychotherapist, working with diverse populations in outpatient practices and residential treatment facilities.

As a therapist, I strive to understand my clients’ unique needs and strengths. I value clients’ experience of treatment and always respect their comfort with treatment progress. I believe that my therapeutic alliance with clients is foundational to the growth and change they experience through therapy.

In treatment, I support my clients to better understand their thought patterns and emotional triggers. This work includes exploring past life experiences, attachment injuries and needs, relationship and behavioral patterns, and core beliefs about others and self. Through therapy my clients develop insight that helps them identify and make healthy changes.

Primarily, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Attachment Theory to facilitate the therapeutic process. I also have training in Trauma Informed Therapy. My approach to treatment is often holistic in that I help clients develop daily practices of mindfulness, movement, and self-care to supplement therapy sessions.

My specializations include eating disorders, including anorexia, orthorexia, binge eating, and bulimia. I also treat trauma, depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders related to life transitions. I work with adults and provide individual therapy and couples therapy.
